Black History Month at Beecholme, October 2020

In our curriculum we aim to  honour the contributions made to society by people of black heritage and their communities throughout the year. At Beecholme, we are celebrating Black History Month by focusing on the impact of influential Black Women in Britain. We hope to learn many new and interesting facts.

As Nelson Mandela said,  ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’

September 2020 New School Times for the Start/End of Day

We will continue with staggered start and finish times, to ease the likely hood of congestion at these times of the day.  We would kindly ask that the school grounds are not used as a ‘catch up’ meeting place and that we all follow the rule of ‘Drop and Go’ – drop your children at the required time and go as quickly as you can.  This is again, to ease any large groups forming.

After the first 2 days we will ask Year 5 and Year 6 parents to leave their children at the gate and let them walk into school independently. As a general rule always walk on the left when you are entering school grounds.

Year 5 and Year 3 will enter school through the usual entrance and Year 4 and year 6 will enter their classes through their outside classroom doors.

Children now will refrain from scooting or riding their bikes on the school grounds. Once they arrive at the gate they will need to dismount.
